New portable Bluetooth speaker from Bose: SoundLink Max

When Bose is mentioned, the first thing that comes to everyone's mind is noise canceling headphones. However, the company's portfolio also includes robust and portable Bluetooth speakers. Especially SoundLink Flex stands out as a very good option among competitors in its price range. Bose has added the SoundLink Max, its largest portable Bluetooth speaker ever, to its portfolio. While the overall design is similar to previous Bose devices, the new model packs bigger sound and longer battery life into the expanded frame.

According to information provided by Bose, the three transducers and two passive radiators inside the SoundLink Max power a “spacious stereo experience” that includes bass performance that sounds like an even larger speaker. The company says its new portable speaker uses technology typically used in soundbars and pairs it with digital signal processing to reduce distortion for “full, natural sound” across genres.

Bose promises that every aspect of a song can be heard clearly, no matter the musical style and no matter the speaker's position. If the standard setting does not match the preferences, users will be able to adjust the sound settings through the Bose application.

Bose chose a powder-coated, silicone-coated steel casing for the SoundLink Max, which it says offers a more refined appearance. The speaker also has an IP67 durability certificate. Therefore, dust, water, rust and falling will not be a problem. All this makes the Max very suitable for outdoor use and there is no need to worry about charging. Bose says the SoundLink Max will last up to 20 hours and can power your phone with a USB-C cable if needed. A removable rope handle helps carry it. However, there is also a strap for those who prefer to carry it over the shoulder.

Bose SoundLink Max comes with Snapdragon Sound support

SoundLink Max is equipped with Snapdragon Sound for more consistent connectivity with new Android devices and aptX Adaptive for improved audio quality over Bluetooth. The speaker also supports Google Fast Pair and Bluetooth 5.3.

Bose SoundLink Max is available for pre-order with a price tag of $ 399. Deliveries of the speaker will begin on May 16.
