Apple is preparing for a radical design change as you approach the twentieth year of the iPhone. The iPhone 19 Pro, which is expected to be announced in 2027, can have the most radical design of iPhones produced so far. This model, which attracts attention in Bloomberg’s previous news, will have a completely glass body. The design of this model, which does not have a screen notch, will draw attention with its curved structure, is now a little clearer.
The new news of South Korean -based Etnews showed that Apple contacted Samsung Display and LG Display for this unusual design. Apparently, the panel to be used on the new iPhone will be bent from all four sides. Thus, the front surface of the screen will be designed to give a monolithic glass sensation. This means a screen experience that surrounds the entire surface of the device.
The design in question has similar features to the concept phone previously shown by Xiaomi in 2021. Xiaomi’s model had neither physical button nor connection ports. Considering Apple’s phone plans for years, this approach is not a surprise. Nevertheless, it is a matter of curiosity what a user experience will offer such brave steps.
One of the most striking features of the new model can be under -screen camera technology. Apple is expected to switch to this innovation at the iPhone 19 Pro. The under -screen camera will make the selfie camera invisible and allow the front surface to be completely display. This change is a continuation of Apple’s “notched screen” target for a long time.
The new report says that the OLED panel, which will be used in this model, will be operated with an advanced driver chip. This chip, which will be produced with 16NM Finfet architecture, will be more efficient than the 28nm plane process. This difference may directly affect both screen performance and energy consumption. Thus, the device can offer a screen experience that provides longer use.
iPhone 19 Pro can also bring innovations on the battery side
Apple’s battery side is also planned to plan a serious innovation. A new battery technology with completely silicone -based cathodes is expected to be used. Such batteries can store more energy than traditional lithium ion batteries. Therefore, both the battery life will increase and the energy efficiency of the device will be strengthened.
Although all this information comes from reliable sources, there is no official verification yet. Apple is known to have repeatedly undergone such new technologies before the test process. Therefore, some features of the final product may change. However, it is clear that the general design approach develops in this direction.
In spite of all these developments, a glass body and a frameless iPhone is still controversial how functional it will be for the user. In particular, issues such as falling, scratches and repairability can increase the reservations of users. However, it should be taken into consideration that Apple has given more importance to device resistance in recent years. This can ensure that the new model is presented in a balanced structure in terms of both aesthetics and functionality.
