New claim for RTX 5090 production, Nvidia has not confirmed yet

The claim that Nvidia has stopped supplying new GPUs for the GeForce RTX 5090 has created a new uncertainty in the graphics card market. The claim suggests that GB202 chips will now be reserved for professional cards and AI use. However, Nvidia did not release an official announcement in this direction. Therefore, there is currently not enough confirmation to say that the production of the RTX 5090 has definitely ended.

Tom’s Hardware’s October 10 report is based on a notice attributed to a factory whose source was not disclosed. This message, conveyed by the Hongxing2020 account, also covers the D versions developed for the Chinese market. Another hardware leak account also shares information in the same direction. However, the fact that the two accounts convey the claim does not constitute an official document confirming the company’s decision.

The shared notification also suggests that there will be an RTX 5080 with 24 GB memory at the top of the GeForce family. The same message claims that the 16GB version will expire. In turn, these product changes do not constitute a confirmed Nvidia calendar. The news also states that the company was asked for comment and had not yet received a response at the time of publication.

Here, it is necessary to separate the GPU supply from the ready-made graphics card stocks in the store. Even if new chip shipments actually stop, manufacturers, distributors and vendors can still offer the cards on hand. Therefore, a production claim does not mean that the cards will be withdrawn from all stores the next day. This message alone does not prove the price or stock change in Türkiye.

RTX 5090 continues to be featured on Nvidia’s official product page

Nvidia’s current RTX 5090 page pitches the card for gamers and content creators. Official specifications include Blackwell architecture, 21,760 CUDA cores and 32 GB GDDR7 memory. The memory interface has a width of 512 bits. Additionally, the official page states that the card supports ray tracing and DLSS technologies. These features define the current usage of the product, apart from the supply rumor. This information shows the RTX 5090 hardware identified today, and does not provide a guarantee as to how production will continue in the future.

The company lists total graphics power for the reference card as 575W. The Founders Edition body is 304 mm long and 137 mm wide. In addition, Nvidia reminds that physical dimensions and some features may vary in cards from partner manufacturers. Therefore, RTX 5090 models of different brands should not be evaluated with a single case or power requirement.

The current product page also lists Game Ready and Studio drivers among the card’s support. On the other hand, production rumors do not indicate the end of support for this software. There is no update that changes the use of cards or game performance. For now, the concrete development to watch will be Nvidia’s statement and verifiable supply information from card manufacturers.
