Microsoft has started to test the artificial intelligence -supported Copilot assistant for the Xbox platform on mobile devices. This early access version, which the company offers to iOS and Android users, works in the Xbox mobile application. Users can get game advice through the application, view their achievements and access game completion guides. This early test process is carried out in a limited number of countries and with certain users.
Introduced under the name of Copilot for Gaming, this new tool not only provides static information. He can follow the games played, analyzing the past events in the user account and make personal suggestions. During the game, he can direct the stuck players and provide detailed information about success locks. The interface of the application is similar to other Copilot versions of Microsoft.
Xbox Mobile Application with Copilot turns into the second screen
According to Taylor O’Malley, this feature aims to provide players to support the main game screens without breaking. As the second screen, Copilot offers information without interrupting the gaming experience while working on the mobile device. The assistant knows which game the user plays and gives his answers in this context. In the answers given, sometimes the internet connection can be referred to the content.
One of the most striking aspects of this artificial intelligence assistant is that it has customizable sound support. As in Microsoft’s other copilot services, the user can interact with specific sound characters in this version. Thanks to the chatbot interface, the user can also ask questions through text. Thus, a system that offers both visual and auditory support emerges.

Microsoft has the goal of transforming this system into a game coach in the long run. In a previous presentation of the company, Copilot’s Overwatch 2 game was shown to analyze the performance of the player. The system, which can detect the mistakes made by the player, can also propose heroic choices in accordance with the team balance. This means a strategic advantage, especially for competitive games.
In another screening in Minecraft, Copilot was able to give the right and instant answers to questions such as crafting. A similar system is currently integrated with the Copilot Vision feature in Windows. Microsoft does not want to limit these artificial intelligence -supported guidance systems to the game. With the improvements, it aims to further advance the general digital assistant experience.
Xbox Copilot’s current test process is limited to certain countries. Undersecretary states, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Singapore users can access this feature in the beta version. Most countries in England and Europe seem to have not yet been included in this test process. It is understood that Türkiye is not included in this first test list.
Although the test version can be used in a limited area, Copilot’s possibilities are remarkable. The fact that it provides guidance especially for newly starting games makes this artificial intelligence system functional. For experienced players, it means a new tool to improve game tactics. In this respect, Copilot reveals a structure that appeals to different player profiles at the same time.
The second screen function of Copilot on mobile devices offers a significant convenience in terms of access to information without leaving the game. This approach is especially suitable for the habit of using console players’ phones with the game. The fact that the game download and installation operations can be made through mobile in the following versions seems to increase the practicality of the system.
