Microsoft announced the promotion date of the new Surface Copilot+ PC

Microsoft announced that it will introduce a new Surface Copilot+ PC model on May 6 with its short but remarkable announcement on its official X account. The sharing with the words “Something new is coming…” brought various predictions among technology followers. The company made this announcement about two weeks before the Build 2025 developer conference suggests that this year’s strategy has switched to a different line. Last year, hardware announcements were directly connected to the Build event.

This year, the fact that the hardware promotion was taken before the conference shows that Microsoft has prepared a separate showcase for the Surface series. In previous years, promotions were mostly buried in software activities, but this time, attention seems to be gathered only on hardware. This reveals that the importance given to new devices has increased. Microsoft is sensed that it wants to increase the variety of products, especially on the Surface side.

Microsoft aims to be directly rival to Apple with new equipment supported by artificial intelligence.

According to rumors, Microsoft will focus on two different devices in this event. The first will be a new Surface Pro model that is expected to be 11 or 12 inch. This device is said to have been designed directly to Apple’s 11 -inch iPad Pro model. With a smaller screen, more portable structure and powerful hardware, this model seems to target training and mobile professional users.

The second claim focuses on a new Surface laptop with Snapdragon X processor. Based on ARM architecture, this processor will promise better performance in applications with longer battery life and artificial intelligence -supported applications. Microsoft is expected to integrate Copilot artificial intelligence features into the depths of the device with this processor. In this way, the device will not only become a computer, but also a continuous learning assistant.

In the first months of the year, Microsoft introduced Surface Pro (Generation 11) and Surface Laptop (7th generation) models for institutional use. Although these models are mostly focused on the business world, it is estimated that the new devices will appeal to the individual user audience. Accordingly, it is expected to be equipped with more innovative features in terms of user experience. The fully integrated operation of Copilot -supported applications with the device becomes important in this respect.

It is still not clear whether Microsoft will organize a special activity for promotion, or if it will only be content with an online explanation. However, a physical launch is not expected, since the company prefers to be content with the announcements for the press in recent years. But the impact of the promotion seems to have repercussions in the sector, regardless of the launch format. In which markets new Surface models will be available is a matter of curiosity.

On the other hand, the Build 2025 conference will begin on May 19 and this event will focus on artificial intelligence issues. While software -based announcements are expected to be included in this conference, it is understood that most of the hardware announcements will be made in advance. This allows the introduction of May 6 to have a greater meaning. Microsoft seems to have made this distinction to offer equipment and software in different showcases.

New Surface models, especially with the ARM -based processor, will be closely monitored. Apple’s Microsoft’s success with the M series chips is a big question mark whether it can catch with Snapdragon X. In this context, the experience presented to the user will be decisive. Microsoft’s stability and speed will directly affect the reaction of the market.
