Huawei’s triple-folding device spotted in the hands of its chairman

There have been reports in recent months that Huawei is working on a phone that can fold three times. Although the company has not yet made a statement on the subject, former Huawei CEO and current Consumer Electronics Group Chairman Richard Yu has been seen using the device.

The image shows Huawei’s tri-fold device with a punch-hole in the middle for the selfie camera on the left side. The device also has two folds due to two hinges instead of one as we see on regular foldable smartphones like the Huawei Mate X5, Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.

The tipster Digital Chat Station stated that the device Yu used resembled an R&D prototype he had seen before. The device, which is estimated to have a screen size of about 10 inches, is expected to have a Kirin 9 series processor at its heart.

Huawei may introduce its new foldable device before the Mate 70 series

According to Digital Chat Station, this triple foldable device will be made official before the Mate 70 series. Huawei is expected to introduce the Mate 70 series in the middle of the last quarter of the year, which means we have a window of about 3-4 months ahead.
