Huawei MatePad Pro Max appeared before the launch with its ultra-thin design

Huawei shared the design and basic technical features of the MatePad Pro Max model before the official launch. The tablet, which will be introduced at the company’s global event in Bangkok, stands out as the thinnest model of the MatePad family so far. In the short promotional video released by Huawei, it was confirmed that the device is only 4.7 mm thick. In addition, some details such as the product’s screen structure and camera design have also become clear. The new model is expected to be announced along with different products at the event.

According to the shared information, MatePad Pro Max will come with a 13.2 inch OLED PaperMatte screen. The panel, which offers 3K resolution, has very thin frames of 3.55 mm around it. PaperMatte screen technology, which Huawei has recently used in various products, draws attention especially with its reflection reduction and paper feel when using a pen. This approach can take the tablet to a more assertive position in both content consumption and productivity. Thanks to its thin frame structure, the screen-to-body ratio is expected to be high.

On the tablet side, design details also attract attention. Huawei confirmed that it will include a new surface coating on the device, which it describes as “luminous”. It can be seen that this coating creates different reflections under light. There is a dual camera setup at the back. Although the company has not yet shared technical details about the camera features, it is known that the previous models of the MatePad Pro series focused on document scanning, video calling and productivity-oriented software features. For this reason, similar usage scenarios are expected to come to the fore in the new model.

Huawei MatePad Pro Max may come with high-end hardware

According to the information shared by Digital Chat Station, known for its leaks, MatePad Pro Max will work with a Kirin 9 series processor. Huawei has recently started to use its own Kirin platforms on smartphones and tablets more visibly. Therefore, it is not a surprise that the new tablet continues the company’s upper segment hardware approach. In addition, it is stated that the device will offer 66W fast charging support. Despite its thin body structure, maintaining high-speed charging support may provide an advantage in mobile use.

In addition, it is stated that a satellite communication supported version of the tablet may be being prepared. Huawei included satellite connection features in some of its smartphone models, especially in the Chinese market. Moving this technology to the tablet category can offer basic communication opportunities in areas where internet access is limited. However, it is not yet known whether this feature will be offered in all markets.

At Huawei’s event in Bangkok, not only the MatePad Pro Max but also new products from different device categories will be introduced. It seems that the company has recently focused on productivity-oriented accessories, advanced multitasking features and display technologies on the tablet side. With its slim design, MatePad Pro Max seems to be positioned especially in the premium Android tablet segment. With the official launch, details such as price, accessory support and software features will become clear.
