Honor Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro became official with Snapdragon 8 Elite processor

China-based smartphone manufacturer Honor introduces the Magic 7 series to users with new features. Following the Magic 6 series, which was released at the beginning of 2024, the Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro models, which attracted attention in the technology world, were equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and advanced artificial intelligence (AI) support. These new generation phones are in the upper segment with their battery capacities, fast charging features and durable cases. In particular, Honor Magic 7 Pro stands out with its telephoto camera with 200 MP resolution.

The main innovation in Honor’s Magic 7 Pro lies in its 200 MP telephoto camera. This high-resolution camera replaces the 180 MP camera on the previous model, the Magic 6 Pro. The camera’s large 1/1.4-inch sensor size is a feature seen in the main camera of many flagship devices. This large sensor can achieve 2.5x optical zoom with a 60 mm lens and reach up to 100x digitally. With its resolution and zoom capabilities, Magic 7 Pro takes the smartphone camera experience one step further.

The main camera of Honor Magic 7 Pro has a 50 MP resolution sensor that offers variable aperture range (f / 1.4-f / 2.0). This feature allows users to take high quality photos even in different lighting conditions. In addition, the 50 MP ultra wide-angle camera provides detailed photos by providing close enough distance for macro shooting. The front camera of the device also has 50 MP resolution and provides secure biometric unlocking options with a 3D face scanner. While this scanner can be used even in dark environments, it also includes an IR illuminator to increase security.

The 6.8-inch LTPO OLED screen of Honor Magic 7 Pro can automatically adjust the refresh rate between 1 and 120 Hz and has a resolution of 1,280 x 2,800 pixels. With 10-bit color support and Dolby Vision compatibility, the screen also offers a high level of performance in terms of brightness. The screen, which can reach 1,600 nits of brightness globally, can go up to 5,000 nits in HDR content. PWM dimming technology provides high-frequency control to reduce eye fatigue.

Magic 7 Pro offers a 5850 mAh battery with increased battery capacity. This battery provides 100W wired and 80W wireless charging support. With these features, Honor aims to ensure that the device can be charged quickly even after long periods of use. These battery and charging features stand out as a significant improvement compared to the Magic 6 Pro.

Honor Magic 7 Pro

The Honor Magic 7 model has a similar screen technology as the Pro version and comes with a flat 6.78 inch LTPO OLED screen. This screen, which has the same resolution, also supports a 120 Hz refresh rate. However, the Magic 7 model only has an ultrasonic fingerprint reader instead of a facial scanner. In this way, users are offered alternative options regarding security.

Both models of the Magic 7 series have IP68 certification for durability. In addition, thanks to the IP69 certification, protection is provided against high-temperature water sprays. These certification features show that the devices promise long-lasting use.
