Honor announced two major events it will hold in the coming weeks. The company will introduce the new generation operating system MagicOS 9.0 on October 23. This new interface based on Android 15 will first appear in the Magic 7 series, Honor’s flagship models. The Honor Magic 7 series will be released on October 30, exactly one week after the announcement of MagicOS 9.0.
The new MagicOS 9.0 will come with many new artificial intelligence (AI) features. The most notable among these will be an always-on personal assistant called “AI Agent.” This new assistant aims to compete with Apple’s AI-powered services and Google Gemini. AI Agent was first introduced at the IFA event held in 2024 and a demo was shown on Magic 7 phones. Additionally, an oval-shaped hole design for the front camera that will be included in the Honor Magic 7 model also attracted attention during this demo.
The Magic 7 series seems to stand out with its powerful hardware. The new flagship models are expected to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. However, it is also possible to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 platform in the more affordable models of the series. There is approximately two weeks until the launch date, and more features and technical details are expected to be shared during this time.
