HMD Pulse series appeared before users with three phones

HMD Global, known as the manufacturer of Nokia branded smartphones, announced a while ago that it would release smartphones bearing its own brand. The HMD Pulse series, which opened this new era, was officially revealed. There are three models in the series, with prices ranging from 100 to 200 euros. These phones are called Pulse, Pulse+ and Pulse Pro.

HMD believes that consumers are turning to more environmentally friendly products and attach importance to repairability. The company announced the “1st” version of the Pulse series. It says it's designed to be “generation repairable” and that users can get self-repair kits from iFixit. Repairs include replacing the battery as well as replacing the screen.

HMD Pulse

Although Pulse is the base model of the series, it should be noted that the Unisoc T606 processor is at the heart of all phones. Pulse will be sold in Europe for 140 euros.

The 6.65 inch 720p 90 Hz LCD screen is also among the common features of the three phones. The screen, with a maximum brightness level of 600 nits, covers 70 percent of the NTSC color gamut. The aspect ratio of this screen is also 20:9.

Rear cameras stand out as the most important element that distinguishes the members of the Pulse series. In the base model Pulse, the main camera is a 13-megapixel sensor. The depth sensor serves as the second camera. On the front, an 8-megapixel camera awaits users.

The 5000 mAh battery provides the phone with the energy it needs. HMD describes this battery as “QuickFix replaceable”. The statement in question does not mean that the phone's battery can be removed by opening the back cover. The company states that users can replace the battery with simple tools within 5 minutes.

It is stated that the 10W charging supported battery supports 800 full charging cycles. The phone has an IP52 certificate for dust and water resistance. Considering the price and easy repairability, it can be said that even this certificate is too much. To maintain this durability after battery replacement, it is necessary to follow the instructions.

In Pulse, the Unisoc T606 processor is accompanied by 4 or 6 GB of RAM. The storage space of the phone is 64 GB. An additional 256 GB can be added to the storage area with microSD card support. The phone, which comes out of the box with Android 14, will receive two software updates and security patches will continue for another three years.

HMD Pulse+

Pulse+ will also be sold in Europe for 160 euros. The smartphone has a 6.65 inch 720p LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The phone's Unisoc T606 processor is accompanied by 4, 6 and 8 GB of RAM. An additional 256 GB can be added to the 128 GB storage space with a microSD card.

A 50 megapixel sensor acts as the main camera. Although sensor and lens details, or even video recording features, are not shared; It should be noted that the processor cannot record at a quality higher than 1080p. There is an 8 megapixel camera on the front.

A 5000 mAh battery provides the smartphone with the energy it needs. This battery, charged via USB-C input, has 10W charging support. 3.5 mm headphone jack is also among the features of the phone.

HMD Pulse Pro

Pulse Pro stands out as the flagship of the trilogy. The price tag of the smartphone says 180 euros. It is worth noting that users have the same screen and processor as the other two models.

On the back of this smartphone, the 50 megapixel main camera is accompanied by a 2 megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is a 50 megapixel camera. This is expected to make it possible to take better selfies with the phone.

The phone provides the energy it needs with a 5000 mAh battery, which is also charged via the USB-C port. However, in Pulse Pro, the charging speed increases from 10W to 20W. Two software updates and three years of security updates are promised for the phone, whose fingerprint scanner is placed on the power button. While Pulse and Pulse+ are available for sale, we need to wait a little longer for Pro.
