HMD Hyper leak shows new color options

We first saw the HMD Hyper leak last month, with a yellow render of the device and a very detailed list of specifications. The X user who shared the initial leak, @smashx_60, has now shared additional renders of the device, including four official color options, along with some new specifications.

The Hyper is being touted as the successor to the Nokia X30, which launches in 2022, but its design is closer to the newer HMD Skyline model, offering a mix of curvy lines and sharp corners.

Along with the yellow color seen in the previous leak, three new colors have now emerged: turquoise, red, and gray. According to the leak, the device will likely come with a metal frame and a glass back.

What features will HMD Hyper come with?

Hyper will be equipped with a 6.55-inch OLED display (FHD + 120Hz). According to newly revealed information, the device will have a 50 MP camera on the front with autofocus and FHD video recording. Positioned as a mid-segment, the device will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of expandable storage.

On the back of the device, there is a 50MP OIS-supported main camera, a 13MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. In addition, the HMD Hyper is expected to offer 33W fast charging, IP54 water and dust resistance, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 5, and NFC connectivity with a 4,700mAh battery capacity.

With these features, HMD Hyper aims to attract attention in the mid-range smartphone market. With new color options and updated features, the device is eagerly awaited by technology enthusiasts. There is no official statement yet about the device’s release date and pricing, but in light of leaks, the device is expected to be introduced soon.
