Google's new foldable phone will be released with a different name

Google is preparing to make a significant change in its activities in the foldable phone field. The company is expected to launch the Pixel Fold 2 model this year, following the Pixel Fold model released last year. However, according to a new claim, Google will offer its foldable phone as Pixel 9 Pro Fold instead of Pixel Fold 2.

A news that may support this claim has come to the fore in recent months. It was claimed that Google would introduce its new foldable phone with the Pixel 9 series in October instead of the I/O event in May. This was considered as a sign that strengthened the inclusion of the new foldable phone in the Pixel 9 series.

Google usually introduced two smartphones in September or October every year. However, it seems likely that this number will increase to four this year. It is said that Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold models will be introduced along with Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro.

Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL are expected to be the successors of the existing Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro models. It is said that the dimensions of the Pixel 9 Pro will be reduced, but this phone will differ from the Pixel 9 with certain feature improvements. It is certain that all four phones will come with Google's Tensor G4 processor.

Google may change its mind again about the Pixel Fold 2 name

It should be noted that traces of the transition from Pixel Fold 2 to Pixel 9 Pro name have been seen quite recently in Google's internal communications. However, it is worth remembering that the company is likely to change its decision on this issue again.
