Google Calendar’s Android update makes it easier to create activities with multiple accounts

Google has implemented a new interface change to improve the user experience in the calendar application for Android devices. This update, which comes with version 2025-16.0, brings the process of creating an event for people who use multiple Google accounts to a more understandable structure. When multiple Google accounts were synchronized on the Android operating system, the calendar application was displaying all the calendars attached to these accounts at the same time. This caused a complex interface, especially for users with many calendar.

With the new update, users now select a Google account first, then can create an activity by identifying one of the calendars connected to this account. While the accounts are selected with the opens menu, the calendars are offered on a horizontal slide list. This two -stage selection process reduces the complexity created by showing all calendars together in a single -opened list in the past.

The new interface design focuses on ease of use, providing a more controlled experience, especially for multi -accountable users. According to Android Police, users can follow the calendar which calendar and which activity they add more easily thanks to the fact that the accounts and calendars are displayed separately. Although horizontal sliding calendar list offers a limited convenience for users with a large number of calendar, the new structure provides a simpler and intuitive interaction compared to the previous design.

The update is currently activated only on Android devices. The Google calendar app for iOS users continues to use the old interface layout. A similar interface renewal for iOS from Google has not yet been shared.

In addition, no explanation was made as to whether users will have a similar experience in the web version of the Google Calendar. However, this change in the Android application shows that Google is progressing in line with the goal of making mobile applications more user -friendly.
