DJI’s 360 degree first camera OSMO 360 leaked

DJI is preparing to expand its boundaries in the action camera market. Apart from the usual drone models this time, it is very close to appearing with a completely new type of product. According to leaked information, DJI OSMO 360 will be the first 360 -degree image record of DJI. Although brands such as Insta360 have come to the fore in this area so far, DJI has no intention of remaining in the background.

The first visuals about the Osmo 360 recently fell on the internet. The exterior of the device resembles the Insta360 X5, but it has a slightly shorter design in size. While the body structure is more compact, the size of the camera lenses attracts attention. This creates the impression that the device may have a technically strong equipment.

The most remarkable difference of the OSMO 360 is the camera sensor. According to shared information, this new model has a 1/1.3 -inch sensor. To compare, in the Insta360 X4, this value was 1/2 inch. This difference in sensor size can provide a significant advantage, especially in terms of low light performance.

DJI’s new device stands out not only with the hardware power, but also with its integration on the software side. The screenshots in the FCC documents show that the device will work in full harmony with the DJI Mimo application. With this application, video editing and sharing processes can be made much faster and more practical. In addition, it was confirmed that the device contained a battery with a capacity of 1,959mah.

Touch screen support seems to be an element that increases the user experience of the OSMO 360. With this feature, navigating between menus and changing the settings will be quite easy. The user -friendly interface can provide a great convenience, especially for content producers. However, the technical details of the screen are not yet clear.

DJI Osmo 360 will be released in China before

Some details in the visuals suggest that the device may have a water -resistant structure. Although this information has not yet been officially confirmed, DJI’s previous action camera models had such features. Therefore, it would not be surprising to see a similar protection structure in Osmo 360. In addition, the durability of the device may become an important cause of choice for users.

Important technical features such as video resolution and square speed of the camera are currently unknown. However, 1/1.3 -inch sensor can provide 4K or even 6K video support. On the other hand, considering that the competitor model Insta360 X5 offers 8K record features, DJI is expected to be left behind in this area. Moving the competition in camera quality to this level may be an improvement in favor of users.

It seems likely to be released in China, the OSMO 360. As with previous DJI products, it is estimated that it will take some time to open it to the international market. It is not clear whether it will be sold in European and US markets. However, the appearance of the device in FCC indicates that it can also step into the US market.
