Galaxy S24 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and S24 Plus with Exynos 2400 face to face

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Series is sold with different processors in all countries except the USA and South Korea. In these places, including Turkey, the S24 Ultra is sold with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, while the S24 Plus and S24 models are offered with the Samsung-made Exynos 2400 processor. While this situation increases the question marks in the minds of consumers, a video that may be a solution to these questions came from technology publisher The Tech Chap.

In England, where The Tech Chap lives, there is a similar situation to Turkey. Comparing the S24 Ultra and S24 Plus, sold with two different processors, with different benchmark tests and daily usage scenarios, the publisher offers a table that will be useful for consumers.

There are different results between Galaxy S24 Ultra and S24 Plus in benchmark tests

First of all, we see the comparison of the two devices in different benchmark tests. In the 3DMark test, which focuses especially on gaming performance, the S24 Ultra seems clearly ahead. The phone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor seems to be ahead in terms of both scores and frame rates. Additionally, the S24 Ultra performs better in battery consumption during the benchmark test.

In the GeekBench 6 test, the S24 Ultra is also ahead, but here the gap between the two devices seems a little closer. In the OpenCL test of this benchmark application, the Galaxy S24 Plus with Exynos 2400 processor appears to be ahead. By the way, let’s not forget to mention that both devices have 12 GB RAM. As expected, the Galaxy S24 Ultra appears ahead in the AnTuTu Benchmark test.

When we look at daily life scenarios, Galaxy S24 Ultra outperforms S24 Plus in the test of creating a 1-minute long video in Adobe Premiere Rush. The test is repeated a second time, but the situation does not change. The Tech Clap speculates that this is because Adobe Premiere Rush may have been optimized for Qualcomm’s processor.

For gaming performance, we compare the performance of the ray tracing supported War Thunder Mobile game on the two devices. In this game, S24 Plus seems to be ahead in terms of frame rates. At maximum settings, the frame rates are at the same level at first, but then the situation starts to change in favor of the S24 Plus. When we make a comparison of the temperature during this game, it is seen that the S24 Plus with Exynos 2400 processor gets a little warmer. Here, it is highly likely that the S24 Ultra has a larger vapor chamber, so the cooling system is more efficient.

On the performance side of the artificial intelligence-based Galaxy AI features offered with the Galaxy S24 Series, both phones exhibit similar performance. Since Samsung has direct intervention here, it is guaranteed that both phones will perform similarly.

As a result, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus with Exynos 2400 processor also offers the performance expected from a flagship phone. However, in many areas, the S24 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor appears to be ahead. However, for a higher level of performance, consumers must pay a higher price.
