Fitbit Edge leak shows new design and battery life

Retail images claimed to belong to a tracking device called Fitbit Edge, which Google has not yet announced, have been published. There was previously information pointing to a connection between Pixel 11 and Fitbit; The new leak shows a standalone wristband design.

The images include an oval, edge-to-edge color screen and metal-looking side strips. It is thought that these strips can be used as contact points in ECG measurement. Three color options are listed: Canyon, Obsidian and Olive.

Leaked features include phone notifications, Google Maps directions, media control and Find My Phone functionality. A value of up to seven days is given for battery life. Intensive screen and health measurement use may shorten this time.

FCC records showed that a device with model number G8BL6 supported Bluetooth and satellite positioning, but did not offer Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity. However, it has not been officially confirmed that this record will be available under the name Edge.

Google hasn’t given a price or date yet

Fitbit Edge name, design, colors and features are based on leaks for now. Google did not share the product page or launch date. Therefore, details appearing in retail listings may vary leading up to sale.

On the other hand, the claim that both Android and iOS support will be preserved may position the device separately from the Pixel Watch. Longer battery life and simpler application structure create a line that appeals to classic Fitbit users. For the exact picture, we need to wait for Google’s official statement.
