DYSON’s high -tech Supersonic R hair dryer is offered for sale in general

Dyson, the Supersonic R model, which he launched last year, initially launched only hairdressing salons and professional stylists. However, the company announced that this model will now be opened to individual users. According to the information shared by Yahoo; Supersronic R will be available in general in the US as of March 7. Users in Europe will have this product as of April 2025.

Dyson will present the consumer version of Supersonic R with two new color options, ceramic Pink and Jasper Erik. The sales price of the device will be 569.99 dollars. This price will be at the same level as the professional version. On the other hand, the professional version will remain on the market and a model that has been updated by adding copper and purple color options in the summer months will be offered.

When Dyson first introduced the Supersonic hair dryer in 2016, this model attracted attention with its high performance. However, there has not been a major change in its design over the years. The Supersonic R model, introduced in 2024, brings significant innovations. The new model has a 30 percent smaller and 20 percent lighter design than the original Supersonic.

This compact design makes the device more easily transported and easier to use. Supersonic R is named after the ergonomic structure of the design that resembles the lowercase letter “R”. The renewed design offers users a wider viewing angle and provides more mobility.

Supersonic R has a small but powerful engine that can rotate at a speed of 130,000 RPM. Dyson has provided a more balanced weight distribution by placing this engine on the handle of the device. In this way, users will feel less fatigue caused by the weight of the device while shaping their hair.

Dyson Supersonic R comes with special heating elements

However, the Supersonic R model has special heating elements in the form of three discs. Thanks to these elements, a more balanced and equal heat spread is provided before cold spots occur during the hair drying process. Thus, the hair strands are dried and shaped without exposure to excessive heat.

Dyson’s new hair dryer has a system that can wisely detect the styling accessories that are installed as a magnet. Thanks to RFID technology, when accessories are installed on the device, Supersonic R automatically switches to appropriate temperature and power settings. At the same time, users can apply the same parameters by remembering which settings the latest settings have used.
