DJI Dock 3: New generation station for autonomous drones

DJI announced the new generation DJI Dock 3 system developed for autonomous drone operations. Designed to be used in critical areas such as control of energy lines, security supervision and emergency interventions, this station offers more advanced features than its previous versions. Thanks to its compact structure, the Dock 3, which can fit on the back of a pickup truck, can be easily transported to different points. However, what makes it different was the new Gimbal Assembly Accessory, which allows DJI Matrice 4D and Matrice 4TD 4TD drone models to take off from a motion.

While DJI has not yet announced the price of this special assembly apparatus, the dock 3 will be offered to corporate customers in two different packages. DJI Matrice 4D will be available with $ 21,059 and 23,409 dollars with a Matrice 4TD price tag. However, these prices are not included in installation, field distribution, additional hardware upgrades and special software features.

The new Dock 3 continues to carry some important components in previous versions. Features such as built -in weather station, antennas, security cameras and backup battery system increase the reliability of drone operations. While the need for internet connection and power supply continues, the system now offers a more flexible use for remote management with 4G mobile connection support.

However, thanks to the IP56 certificate, dock 3 is now more resistant to dust and water. In addition, the work temperature range was expanded; The station can work between -30 and 50 degrees Celsius. In extreme cold conditions, the preheating mechanism comes into play and enables the system to work healthy.

Offering improvements in terms of connection distance, Dock 3 can communicate with a drone up to 10 kilometers in standard use. However, this range can be increased up to 25 kilometers by using relay systems for fixed installations. Of course, local regulations can limit such long -range operations. For example, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the US requires special permission for operations beyond the line of view (BVLOS).

DJI Dock 3 is compatible with the Matrice 4 series

DJI Dock 3 is designed to comply with IP55 certified, water and dust -resistant versions of DJI’s Matrice 4 Series Drone. Matrice 4D and Matrice 4TD are equipped with icing -resistant propellers, 47 -minute flight time and wide -angle, multi -faceted camera systems with mid -wire and telephoto lenses.

The Matrice 4TD model comes with additional equipment such as infrared thermal camera and close infrared auxiliary lighting for night operations. These features provide a great advantage especially for security units, search-rescue teams and emergency management.

DJI Dock 3 has been developed especially for professional use in infrastructure control, security and disaster management. Drone departure from motion vehicles can provide great flexibility in operations that require continuous movement. However, the legal regulations and safety standards that change from country to country about the use of autonomous drones continue to be one of the most important factors that determine the usage areas of such systems.
