The official launch of the Vivo X200 series is just three days away and the company has revealed more details about the new devices along with the event venue. The X200 series, consisting of the X200, X200 Pro and X200 Pro mini models, will be introduced at the Beijing National Water Sports Center on October 14. The title of the event was determined as “Far Beyond Imaging” and Vivo emphasized in the press release that the X200 series will offer a renewed camera experience.
One of the standout camera features of the X200 Pro will be the improved 200 MP periscope camera with 135 mm focal length and a special telephoto “super scene” mode. The shared sample photos reveal impressive results even at 20x zoom level.
The entire X200 series will offer an improved telephoto macro mode and will also feature a special super landscape mode. The X200 Pro aims to take photography to a new level using the special 50 MP LYT-818 sensor developed together with Sony. Additionally, vivo’s X200 series will also bring “Live Photo” support, which will be compatible with Apple’s Live Photo format.
On the video shooting side, the X200 series will be able to record cinematic slow-motion video at 120 fps at 4K resolution and support 10-bit LOG format at full focal range. The new devices also stand out with their 4K HDR Cinematic Portrait Video recording feature.
Vivo X200 series will come with Dimensity 9400
The new phones will run on the OriginOS 5 operating system and feature MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9400 chipset.
