Apple made the official announcement of macOS 15 Sequoia at WWDC 2024

Apple officially introduced macOS 15 Sequoia at the WWDC 2024 event. The new operating system stands out with its iPhone mirroring feature, which allows users to control their iPhones via Mac. This feature makes it possible to receive phone notifications and transmit audio via Mac.

iPhone Mirroring and Continuity updates

iPhone Mirroring, one of the most striking features of macOS 15 Sequoia, allows you to control your phone via Mac. In this way, you can manage all notifications and sounds from your Mac even when your phone is locked. In particular, it enables phone use via a non-touch interface.

Apple also updated the Continuity features. Users will now have a more seamless experience across devices. These updates allow users to do their jobs more efficiently and quickly.

The Safari browser also received important updates with macOS 15 Sequoia. Added “highlight” feature that detects interesting points on the page using machine learning. Additionally, new features such as summaries and tables of content have been added to Reader mode; These features are also likely created by machine learning.

Safari's new viewer mode offers the opportunity to watch in-page video content more easily. This will make it even easier for users to consume media over the internet. Additionally, a new cross-platform Passwords app has been introduced with a major update to Keychain.

The Passwords app can store many new types of account credentials. This information includes Wi-Fi passwords, passkeys, verification codes and shared passwords. The application will be available on iOS, iPad, Mac, VisionOS and Windows platforms.

The developer beta is available for download starting today. Public beta versions will be available to users this month. This way, users can test new features and provide feedback.

macOS 15 Sequoia offers many innovations to improve user experience. In particular, iPhone mirroring and updated Safari features make daily use more efficient. Additionally, the Passwords application makes it possible to share secure information between all devices.
