Apple is preparing to launch MacBook Air models with M4 chips in early 2025. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, after introducing the M3 chip MacBook Air models in the spring of this year, the company plans to update the M4 between January and March 2025. It is stated that both 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models will receive the M4 chip update and these devices will be similar to the M2 MacBook Air in terms of design.
The fact that MacBook Airs with M4 processors will be released in the spring means that they will not be among the announcements Apple will make next week. According to Gurman, new MacBook Pro, Mac Mini and iMac models will be introduced in these announcements. These devices are also expected to be offered with updated hardware.
Apart from M4 MacBook Air, Mac Studio and Pro are also expected
However, for users waiting for Mac Studio, a new model is not expected to arrive immediately. It is thought that an M4 chip version of Mac Studio, which currently works with M2 Max and M2 Ultra chips, may be introduced after a software update in March. In this case, the Mac Studio with M4 chip is likely to be released between March and June. It is stated that Apple is also working on a Mac Pro with an M4 chip, but Gurman did not give exact information about the release date of this model.
Gurman reports that Apple is also aiming to introduce a new iPhone SE, iPad Air models, upgraded iPad keyboards, and new entry-level iPads in spring 2025. The company recently launched the seventh generation iPad Mini, and it is stated that the first Apple Intelligence features will be available next week.
