Apple is planning a glass -weighted design for the 20th anniversary of the iPhone

Apple introduced its first iPhone in 2007. It is said that the company is preparing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iPhone with a special model. This special iPhone model, which is expected to be introduced in 2027, will be distinguished from previous designs. It is stated that the company will increase the use of glass and go to radical changes in the general design of the device. It is already discussed that this model will be available at a higher price than the standard iPhones.

On the other hand, only the special design seems to not be effective in this price increase. Customs tariffs between the US and China will also play a decisive role in this process. Although there are some exemptions that are already granted to the technology sector, these exceptions are thought to be permanent. For Apple, this means important difficulties in production and supply chain planning.

Developing new production strategies for Apple iPhone

Apple is taking major steps in India to reduce production dependence on China. However, the infrastructure in India does not seem sufficient for complex designs such as the iPhone’s 20th year model. Currently, India has a production capacity to meet only one third of the US iPhone demand. Moreover, when it comes to advanced technological production, China’s knowledge is still unrivaled.

In spite of everything, Apple makes great efforts to increase its production in India. However, until 2027, the iPhone’s 20th year models stands as a difficult possibility to produce completely outside China. Because these special models will require new production techniques and special components. This shows that the process will be more complex and time -consuming than ever.

In addition to all these, it is known that Apple has never produced any new generation product design outside China. The frequent praise of China’s production skills of the company CEO of the company shows that Apple cannot easily give up its current production habits. In addition, Apple’s desire to maintain high quality standards in the new model makes it necessary to stay in China for a while. The quality and continuity of production continues to be among Apple’s main priorities.

However, high tariffs applied to Chinese products in the USA directly affect Apple’s costs. Currently, these products have tariff rates ranging from 145 to 245 percent. If there is no change in trade policies soon, this seems to be reflected in the price tag of the new iPhone. In other words, the 20th year model can come across users at a price above the usual price.

In addition, Apple’s efforts to create long -term production diversity are also remarkable. The company aims to activate not only India but also different production centers such as Vietnam. However, such transitions do not seem to be effective in the short term. Therefore, by 2027, China will continue to be the central base of the Apple production process.
