All features and price of Asus ROG Ally X revealed before official launch

With just a few days left until the launch event of Asus' highly anticipated ROG Ally X model, a retail listing may have spoiled some of the excitement of the event. An online retailer in South Korea accidentally released the ROG Ally X's specifications early. This particularly caught the attention of a South Korean YouTube channel called Performance Department Connect.

The leaked listing appears to call the device ROG Ally 2, but it's more likely that it's actually the slightly improved X model. The listing includes some images and specifications of the device. According to the information translated using Google Translate, we see that the device has an AMD Ryzen Z1 series processor. This processor is based on the Zen 4 architecture and is produced with the 4nm process. It has eight cores, 16 threads and 12 RDNA3 compute units.

The weight of the device is stated as 670 grams. This differs slightly from the previously reported weight of 678 grams. It also seems to be confirmed that the device will have 24 GB memory and 1TB storage capacity. This information matches what we have heard before.

Expected screen features of Asus ROG Ally X

The screen features are also remarkable. The 7-inch FHD 120Hz screen can reach 500 nits of brightness. This information is consistent with past leaks. Longer battery life, one of the most important improvements that Asus brought to the X model, also seems to have been confirmed. The listing states that the device has an 80Wh battery, which offers three hours of life for intense gaming and 10 hours of life for general use.

The system will also have 4 USB 4 ports at 40 Gbps and biometric verification features. These features make the device modern and user-friendly.

If these features are correct, all that remains is the launch price of the device. The retailer listed the device at 1,234,120 won, which is approximately 897 US dollars (about 29 thousand TL). This price seems quite competitive considering the features of the device.

As the official launch event of the Asus ROG Ally X approaches, these leaks have given us more information about the device. However, for the final specifications and price, it would be best to wait for Asus' official announcement. Meanwhile, it will be exciting to see how the next generation of portable gaming computers will affect the competition in the market.
