Google announced the artificial intelligence-supported visual creation feature developed for Workspace users. This new tool, powered by Gemini technology, offers the opportunity to design visuals quickly and effectively via Google Docs. The feature stands out as an important step for users who want to enrich text-based documents with visuals. This move draws attention with its approach similar to the artificial intelligence-supported rendering function in Microsoft’s Office applications.
The new feature will be available for users included in Google’s paid Workspace packages. Accounts with Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education and Google One AI Premium add-ons will be able to benefit from this innovation. Those who want to use the feature will be able to access the necessary interface by following the steps “Insert > Image > Help me create an image” via Docs.
The images created are shaped in line with the descriptions written by the users. Users can choose the art style from options such as “Photography” or “Sketching”. Additionally, square, vertical or horizontal aspect ratios can be chosen to suit the layout of the documents. There is also the option to create full-screen cover images for pageless documents.
Google uses the state-of-the-art Imagen 3 image generator in this tool. In this way, it is stated that better details, rich lighting and less distracting artifacts will be offered compared to previous versions. Duet AI-based presentation creators developed for Google Slides last year represented the first steps of this technology. This new visual creator makes a difference by being used directly on documents.
When will the new Google Docs feature be released?
This feature will first be available in areas included in the rapid release program and will be distributed to all these areas within 15 days. However, a gradual distribution is expected to take place starting December 16 in areas included in the planned release program. This new tool from Google seems to attract the attention of users who care about visual aesthetics, especially in professional documents.
