Acer introduced its durable laptops specifically for the education sector

Acer introduced its new TravelMate series, designed to meet the needs in the field of education. This series attracts attention with its durability, high performance and user-friendly design. This series, consisting of the TravelMate B5 14, TravelMate B3 11 and TravelMate B3 Spin 12 models, offers significant advantages for students and educators both in the classroom and in hybrid learning environments. In the design of the devices, durability under harsh usage conditions and software that supports user health were prioritized. These products, developed for the education sector, were introduced at Acer’s 2025 BETT Fair in London.

Highlights of the new TravelMate models

TravelMate B5 14 stands out as one of the most striking models of the series. The 14-inch Full HD IPS screen offers a wide field of view, allowing students to work more efficiently. The Intel® Core™ i3 processors used in this model attract attention with both low power consumption and fast response time. In addition, the device has a wide range of connection options such as USB Type-C, USB Type-A and HDMI 2.1. With its ergonomic design and solid structure, it seems to be designed to be used in the classroom environment for a long time. However, health-focused software such as screen distance warnings and break reminders also make this device different.

For those looking for a more compact option, TravelMate B3 11 is offered as a very affordable alternative. It is an ideal device for mobile learning with its 11.6 inch screen and Intel N250 processor option. This model has dual USB Type-C connection and HDMI 2.0 support. Wi-Fi 7 connection support is also available for high-speed internet access that students may need during their classes. Moreover, the modular design used in this device provides advantages such as easy repair and low ownership costs.

TravelMate B3 Spin 12 appears as the most innovative model of the series. This device, which can easily switch between tablet and laptop with its convertible structure, offers students a flexible working experience. Thanks to the optional Wacom AES pen, precise drawings and quick note-taking can be easily done. In addition, the low blue light emission screen option of the device offers the opportunity to protect eye health during long-term use. Its 5 MP world-facing camera and tent mode offer an ideal solution for classroom projects or group work.

Each TravelMate model is designed to be MIL-STD-810H certified to withstand harsh classroom conditions. Shock-absorbing bumpers, reinforced ports and liquid-resistant keyboards are among the details that increase the durability of these models. The keyboard design is reinforced with mechanically fixed keys and can protect internal components even in the event of a liquid spill. Acer’s drainage system directs spilled liquid out from under the device, ensuring longer-lasting use.

Artificial intelligence-supported Acer PurifiedVoice technology has also been integrated into the devices so that students can work more comfortably in the digital environment. This feature reduces background noise, making video calls clearer. In addition, cameras with temporary noise reduction feature offer more effective communication during distance education.

Portability also has an important place in the design of new models. Thanks to the double rubber support legs, the devices offer easy portability and ergonomic use. Windows Autopilot support enables fast registration and management of devices. These innovative devices from Acer aim to contribute to the digital transformation of educational institutions.

When we look at the prices of the series, affordable price options in Europe and the Middle East regions stand out. The starting prices of the models, which will be released as of February 2025, vary depending on the model, starting from 349 euros. In particular, features such as modular design and long-lasting batteries show that these devices can be a long-term investment in the education sector.

The new TravelMate series aims to meet the needs of not only students but also educators with its durability and innovative features. While Acer intensifies the competition in the education sector with these devices, it continues to offer solutions to meet users’ expectations. It can be said that these models constitute a very attractive option for institutions looking for technological solutions in the field of education.
