Apple’s October 28th Pro and tell With two days left until the meeting, just looking at the new model names is not enough for those considering buying a MacBook Pro, iMac or iPad mini. Devices for which screen changes are expected and models for which processor updates are expected are not included in the same group. Moreover, although the features and prices of the products sold in Türkiye today are clear, the prices and sales dates of the expected devices in Türkiye have not yet been announced.
Invited press conference in Los Angeles Wednesday, October 28, at 20.00 Türkiye time will start. This watch, included in Apple’s invitation, does not carry a public live broadcast commitment. Apple’s Türkiye event page does not currently show a separate broadcast link for this meeting. Therefore, it is necessary to follow product announcements and changes in the Turkish store separately from the press experience program.
The starting point that will be useful in the purchasing decision is the existing models. The table below is available at Apple’s Türkiye store. As of October 26, 2026 juxtaposes the initial configurations listed and the changes expected to be announced. The prices are not educational discounts or another seller’s campaign, but the prices in Apple’s own store. Expectations based on Gurman’s news should not be considered as the official specification sheet.
What do current models offer, what might change on October 28?
| Product | Initial configuration on sale | Apple Türkiye price | Not yet confirmed expectation |
|---|---|---|---|
| 14 inch MacBook Pro | M5, 16 GB combined memory, 1 TB SSD; 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR, ProMotion up to 120 Hz | 129.999 TL | M6 in the entry model; Touch OLED screen on higher models. These are two separate renewal claims. |
| 24 inch iMac | M4, 8-core CPU and GPU, 16 GB combined memory, 256 GB SSD; 4.5K Retina display | 99.999 TL | M6 processor update. This recent expectation is not the same as the OLED iMac prototype claim. |
| ipad mini | A17 Pro, 128 GB storage, Wi-Fi; 8.3 inch Liquid Retina display | 39.999 TL | OLED screen, renewed speaker layout and change in the position of the front camera. |
The important difference on the MacBook Pro side is that the OLED screen and the new generation processor do not necessarily come together. According to MacRumors from Mark Gurman’s news dated October 25, 14 and 16 inch models with touch OLED screens can use the existing M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. The M6 update spoken for the entry-level 14-inch model points to a separate product line. Therefore, it would not be correct to deduce the screen or the location of the model just by looking at the number in the chip name.
Today’s MacBook Pro specifications confirm support for a Liquid Retina XDR display and adaptive ProMotion up to 120 Hz. If the OLED rumor comes true, the comparison will need to see not only the panel name, but also the brightness limits, power consumption, battery life and how the touch input works in applications. The touch screen claim is not enough to conclude Apple Pencil support or integration with iPadOS.
If you’re considering buying an iMac, keep the processor refresh and the display technology change separate. Apple’s current iMac page includes the M4 chip and a 4.5K Retina display with a resolution of 4480 × 2520 pixels. The news about the iMac and MacBook Air prototypes with OLED screens does not yet give a specific sales date. Just because the next iMac comes with a newer chip doesn’t prove that it will also bring an OLED panel.
On the iPad mini, portability and display are at the heart of the comparison. The A17 Pro chip model on sale supports Apple Pencil Pro with its 8.3-inch screen. Although OLED, camera and speaker changes are discussed for the new model, Apple has not announced them yet. In particular, it will not be clear how the available accessories and price difference will be evaluated until the refresh rate, pen compatibility and initial storage are clarified.
If you do not need a device urgently, seeing the statements two days later can help you base the comparison on concrete data. However, do not assume that the announcement date and the delivery date are the same. Even if new devices are announced, it should also be checked which configurations will be sold in Türkiye, when orders will be opened and whether the prices of existing models will change. Using today’s prices as the estimated price of new models does not constitute a healthy comparison.
