Claude now works with Photoshop and Blender

Anthropic announced the new connection tools it developed for the artificial intelligence system called Claude. With this innovation, Claude can directly interact with widely used creative software such as Blender, Ableton, Autodesk and Affinity, especially Adobe Creative Cloud applications. The integrations described enable Claude to go beyond being just a text-based tool and to participate more actively in production processes.

This step, which follows the company’s recently announced Claude Design initiative, expands the use cases especially for creative sectors. Thanks to these connection tools, Claude can pull data from connected applications, trigger certain actions, and undertake tasks that will make users’ workflows more fluid. Anthropic states that this system is designed to make the use of Claude in creative works more accessible and practical.

Within the scope of Adobe integration, it becomes possible for Claude to import content from applications such as Photoshop, Premiere and Express, analyze them or use them for new productions. This structure offers an assistant that can accelerate the idea development and editing stages in visual and video production processes. Additionally, the connection with Ableton focuses on music production and allows Claude to answer user questions based on the software’s official documentation.

How do Claude integrations impact creative workflows?

On the Blender side, integration offers a more technical advantage. The Python API of the 3D modeling software is made accessible via natural language. In this way, users can perform complex commands with verbal or written instructions via Claude, instead of typing them manually. This approach can enable users, especially those with limited technical knowledge, to be more easily involved in 3D production processes.

However, Anthropic clearly emphasizes that artificial intelligence will not replace creativity. According to the company’s assessment, while Claude cannot replace aesthetic preferences or imagination, it offers advantages such as faster idea generation, expanded skill sets and access to larger-scale projects. On the other hand, automating repetitive tasks and reducing time-consuming processes can help users focus more on creative decision-making.

Along with the announcement, it was also announced that Anthropic joined the Blender Development Fund as a corporate supporter. In this context, it is stated that the company will contribute at least 240 thousand euros to Blender every year. This fund supports the sustainability of open source software and contributes to the continuation of independent development and the creation of new tools for artists. The backer list, which includes companies such as Netflix, Epic Games and Wacom, reveals that the Blender ecosystem has wide acceptance across the industry.
