Huawei Pura 90 Pro and Pro Max launch date announced, design revealed

Huawei announced that it will introduce the new generation Pura series at an event to be held in China on April 20. The company will launch the Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max models at this event. According to the statement made on the official Weibo account, the pre-booking process for both models started on the same day at 12.08 China time. This announcement is notable for sharing the first concrete details about the Huawei Pro 90 Pro and Pro Max before the launch.

Huawei began to gradually show the design of the devices before the launch. The shared images reveal that the company is moving towards a more assertive design approach in this series. Gradient coating is preferred in most of the color options. While black and white models are excluded from this approach, the transitional surface design in other colors stands out. It is known that Huawei previously included similar color transitions in the P20 and P30 series, but this approach is applied more clearly in the new series.

The camera module on the back also stands out as one of the most distinctive elements of the design. The camera island in the form of a rounded triangle combines with the flat frame structure to create a more angular and industrial appearance. However, it seems that the general lines are not completely broken from last year’s Pura 80 series. While preserving the design language, updates on certain details support the visual continuity of the series.

Huawei Pura 90 series stands out with its hardware and camera features

On the hardware side, Pura 90 Pro and Pro Max models are expected to be powered by the Kirin 9030 or Kirin 9030 Pro processor. It is not yet clear what balance these processors will offer in terms of performance and energy efficiency. On the other hand, it is stated that the devices will come with HarmonyOS 6.1 out of the box. Considering that Huawei continues to develop its own software ecosystem, it can be said that this version will be decisive in terms of system optimization.

In addition, it is said that the HyperSpace Memory technology, which the company previously introduced in the Mate 80 Pro Max model, may also be included in this series. The technology in question aims to provide a usage experience close to the 20 GB level of 16 GB RAM capacity through memory compression methods. This approach can make a difference in practice, especially in terms of multitasking performance.

The camera side continues to be one of the strongest areas of the Pura series. According to the information revealed, the second generation Maple Imaging System will be used in the Pura 90 series. In addition, it is stated that a periscope telephoto camera with a resolution of 200 megapixels will also be part of the system. This hardware can provide a significant advantage, especially in terms of long-distance zoom and detail preservation.
