New leaks about the X500 series that Vivo is working on indicate that the product family may be wider than expected. Following the previously revealed information about the Vivo X500e model, it was claimed that this time there will be a total of four models in the series. In addition, the new technical details stated to belong to the Vivo X500 Pro Max show that the device can offer remarkable innovations on the hardware side. Despite everything, it should not be forgotten that the information in question is still based on engineering prototypes and there may be changes in the final products.
According to the information shared by Chinese leak source Smart Pikachu, Vivo X500 series; It will consist of Vivo X500e, Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max models. The source also hints that new members may join the product family in the future. Considering previous claims, Vivo is likely to introduce the X500s and X500 Ultra models in the first half of 2027. However, technical specifications for these two models have not been shared yet.
144Hz screen and LPDDR6 RAM claim for Vivo X500 Pro Max
According to the new leak shared by Digital Chat Station, the current engineering prototype of Vivo X500 Pro Max carries a 6.85-inch, 2K resolution LTPO screen. While it is stated that the refresh rate has reached 144 Hz, it is stated that the screen will be produced with LIPO packaging technology. Thanks to this production technique, it is aimed to obtain very thin and symmetrical frames on four sides. In addition, it is claimed that the screen will come with a 2.5D flat design with large rounded corners and the panel will be supplied by BOE.
The most striking claim on the hardware side is about LPDDR6 memory. According to the leak, Vivo may be one of the first smartphone manufacturers to use next-generation LPDDR6 RAM technology in the X500 Pro Max. This information also increases expectations that the device may be powered by the yet-to-be-introduced MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro processor. Once the LPDDR6 standard becomes official, it is expected to offer higher data transfer speeds and energy efficiency. Despite this, the information on both the memory and processor side has not been confirmed at this stage.
Previously revealed information about camera features also largely coincides with the new leak. It is stated that Vivo X500 Pro Max will retain the 200 megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.4 inch sensor. While it is claimed that the main camera will feature a 50-megapixel LYT-838 sensor using Sony’s LOFIC technology, it is claimed that a 50-megapixel Sony sensor from the IMX8 series will be used on the ultra-wide angle side. This hardware combination can offer a structure that focuses specifically on improving low-light performance and zoom quality.
Claims about battery capacity also attract attention. Digital Chat Station states that Vivo is working on a battery whose capacity starts with the number “8”. This raises the possibility that the X500 Pro Max may carry a battery of approximately 8,000 mAh. However, it is stated that the battery design has not been finalized yet and the engineering process is continuing. While Chinese manufacturers have recently turned to silicon-carbon battery technology, making it possible to offer high capacity in thinner bodies, it seems possible that Vivo will adopt a similar approach.
All technical details shared for now are based on early-stage engineering prototypes. Since changes can be made to components such as the screen, camera, processor and battery until the last moment during the smartphone development process, there is a possibility that the final products will be introduced with different features. Despite this, current leaks show that Vivo aims to increase the model diversity in the X500 series and to take a competitive position in the upper segment in terms of screen, memory and camera technologies, especially with the Pro Max model. As the official launch date approaches, clearer information about the series is expected to emerge.
