Xiaomi continues to increase its claim in the electric vehicle market. The technical details about the company’s second electric vehicle, Xiaomi YU7, came to light with the documents published by the Chinese Industry and Information Technologies (MIIT). The information about the battery and motor configurations of the model, which was previously on the agenda with its design, became clear.
Xiaomi YU7 is expected to be available in the Chinese market in June or July 2025. The vehicle will be released with two different versions: RWD and four -wheel drive (AWD). The AWD version will have very powerful engines. The front electric motor produces 220 kW (about 295 horsepower), while the rear engine will provide power of 288 kW (about 386 horsepower). This configuration allows the vehicle to reach a total of 684 horsepower. YU7 will be able to reach a maximum speed of 253 km/h thanks to these powerful engines.
According to the data released by MIIT, the YU7 AWD has three different range options according to the Chinese light service tool test cycle (CLTC) standards. These range is 750 km, 760 km and 670 km, respectively. The empty weight of the AWD version was 2,405 kg.
The RWD) model has an electric motor that only strengthens the rear wheels. The maximum power output of this engine is determined as 235 kW (approximately 315 horsepower). The battery type used in the RWD model was described as lithium iron phosphate (LFP). The maximum speed of this version is 240 km/h.
The Xiaomi YU7 will have a length of 4,999 mm, a width of 1,996 mm and a height of 1,600 mm. The vehicle promises to offer a large interior with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. Previously leaked spy photos show that Xiaomi can offer YU7 with different hardware levels. The model, which is expected to be sold with three different hardware packages: Standard, Pro and Max, will attract attention with its driving support technologies.
Lidar sensor, especially on the ceiling of the vehicle, shows that Xiaomi will use its developed driver support systems (Adas). In the leaked images of the interior, there is an ultra -wide screen. This reveals that Xiaomi attaches great importance to in -car digital experience.
SU7, the first electric model of Xiaomi, has attracted great attention since its release. In January, the company announced that SU7 has delivered over 20,000 in the fourth month. Xiaomi, who wants to get more shares in the electric vehicle market, is expanding the retail network. According to the latest data, Xiaomi opened 16 new stores last month and reached 216 stores in a total of 64 cities.
