Xiaomi Mix Flip introduced: 4.1 inch 120 Hz cover display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor

Xiaomi has officially unveiled its new foldable phones called Mix Flip and Mix Fold 4. The Mix Flip is the company’s first foldable phone with a “clamshell” design. With the Mix Flip, the company will compete with models such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, Vivo X Flip, and Oppo Find N3 Flip.

The Mix Flip’s 4.01-inch cover display is the largest of its kind. Surrounded by symmetrical frames, the screen has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The maximum brightness level of this 1.5K resolution screen is 3000 nits. Xiaomi protects this screen with Dragon Crystal Glass.

The cover screen also has a speaker and microphone. This makes it possible to make phone calls without opening the device. It is also possible to use the keyboard full size and view photos full screen on the cover screen.

The Mix Flip’s 6.86-inch foldable display has the same resolution, refresh rate, and maximum brightness level as the cover display. The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the power button on the side of the phone, and when folded, it’s 15.99 mm thick. The Mix Flip weighs 192 grams.

On the back of the Mix Flip, the 50-megapixel main camera is complemented by a 2x telephoto camera, also with a resolution of 50 megapixels. There is a 32-megapixel front camera in the round hole above the inner screen.

The Mix Flip also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The RAM options accompanying this processor go up to 16 GB LPDDR5. The maximum option for storage is 1 TB UFS 4.0. The 4780 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support gives the phone the energy it needs. The Mix Flip comes out of the box with Android 14 and HyperOS.

Xiaomi Mix Flip comes in three different color options

The Xiaomi Mix Flip comes in black, white, and purple. The base version of the phone with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will be available in China starting July 23 for 5,999 yuan ($27,203).
