Xbox main screen is now becoming more simple and personal

Microsoft has announced a new update that will make Xbox users’ home screen experience a simpler and personal structure. According to a statement on Xbox Wire, users who participate in the Xbox Insider program will access three new features as of this week. These new tools aim to get players to reach the games they use faster and reduce unnecessary items on the screen. It is seen that the new system offers a home screen layout where users can shape according to their own preferences.

The first prominent feature of the new update allows up to three games or applications to the “Last Played” list. Thus, players can keep the content they use frequently at the front rows of the list. This fixing process prevents the relevant content from falling to the lower rows of the list, even if other games are started. This structure, which makes it easier to navigate in the user interface, is remarkable in terms of practicality.

The second innovation is to hide the system applications that make the main screen crowded. When the “Hide System Applications” option is activated, users can use the interface without seeing these applications. In particular, the system shortcuts, which are often used frequently and are often ignored, are removed from the screen. A functional choice has been offered for users who want to get a cleaner look.

New vehicles offered to Xbox users provide a more regular home screen experience

The third and complementary feature stands out as the “Reduction of Square Number” function. With this option, the number of game and application boxes that appear in the “Last Opened” list can be manually limited. In particular, players using dynamic background, so that the visual area can emerge more. With all these changes, the Xbox main screen has a special and more regular structure for the user.

Updates will be available only to Xbox Insider users in the Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha ring. These groups constitute the user audience in which Microsoft performs early tests on the software side. The company states that the “Reduce Number of Tiles” feature is still in the process of development and that the final version will be presented in the coming weeks. Therefore, it may be necessary to wait for a while for the feature to reach full functionality.

Marie, who made statements on behalf of Microsoft on behalf of Microsoft, is the leader of Software Engineering, said that these innovations are based on direct player feedback. According to Marie, users demanded that the home screen becomes less crowded and more personal. These three features developed on this were designed directly to respond directly to these expectations. In particular, fixing and concealment functions are among the important steps taken to simplify.

Although these three new functions offer a significant change in personalizing the home screen experience, there is another issue that is frequently expressed by users. The fact that ads continue to appear on the home screen makes the impression that this simplification effort is incomplete. The fact that Microsoft does not make a statement on this issue may be far from meeting the expectations of users. However, it is not yet known whether the company has a development plan in this direction.

Xbox users in Türkiye are also expected to benefit from these new updates. Although features are now available to a limited number of users, it is clear that if it is opened to general use, it will create a remarkable difference in experience in the Xbox ecosystem. Especially for Turkish players, a simple and quick accessible home screen structure can provide an important advantage.

Another remarkable point is whether these updates will turn into a paid service model. Although all features are available for free, Microsoft is likely to integrate some personalization options into subscription systems such as Xbox Game Pass in the future. For this reason, users should closely follow whether the changes in the interface are permanent.
