With Samsung One UI 9, a striking color change comes to the media player

Samsung’s next software update, One UI 9, is preparing to offer a visually striking innovation in the media player interface. According to the latest information, the company may leave behind its current design concept, which has remained similar for a long time and offers limited visual changes. With the new version, a more lively and content-compatible interface approach comes to the fore. Thus, users’ media experience on the lock screen and notification panel can have a more holistic structure.

While many users are still transitioning to current versions of Android, it is stated that Samsung is working on One UI 9 based on Android 17. In the internal test versions that appeared in March, it was seen that this software was working on the Galaxy S26 series. This indicates that the development process is progressing at an earlier stage than planned. However, there is a possibility that changes detected in early versions may differ in the final version.

One UI 9 highlights color harmony in media player

According to the information shared by Tarun Vats, known for his reliable leaks, one of the most striking innovations of One UI 9 will be the changes to the media player interface. Accordingly, the playbar and some interface elements will be automatically updated based on the colors on the album cover of the content being listened to. This approach aims to offer a more dynamic and content-related appearance in the interface.

For example, when a jazz album dominated by blue tones is played, the playhead and accent colors will adapt to these tones. On the other hand, when you switch to a pop song with brighter and more vibrant colors, the interface will instantly accompany this change. Thus, the visual structure that users encounter will gain a constantly updated character instead of remaining constant. In addition, such small but effective touches are expected to make the lock screen experience more fluid and visually rich.

The fact that the information shared by Tarun Vats in the past has been largely verified increases the credibility of this leak. However, it is not yet clear to what extent these features will be offered in the final version. On the other hand, it is stated that this innovation may be first introduced with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 models, which are expected to be introduced within the year.

In addition to all this, it is known that Samsung has focused more on visual consistency and customization options on the software side in recent years. This new approach reflects the company’s effort to create a more flexible and user-friendly structure in the interface. Despite this, the extent to which the changes will make a difference in daily use will be clearer when evaluated together with their effects on performance and battery consumption.
