Windows 11’s new start menu has become larger, shifted and personalized

Microsoft has finally got the new start menu, which has long been working on Windows 11 users. With the update offered through the developer channel, a wider and more shifted interface was officially opened to access. This change in the Start menu was first visible in some building versions in April. With the official statement in May, the scope of this innovation became clear.

The main purpose of the new design is to provide faster and direct access to applications. Now users can see all applications on a single plane. As in the previous structure, there is no need to switch to a second tab or a different category. This change accelerates when simplifying the user experience.

New Windows 11 Start Menu view can adapt itself to screen size

Microsoft has added view options to make the Start menu more personal and functional. Users can now display the menu in the “Category” or “Grill” layout. Applications in category view are grouped according to the purpose of use. On the other hand, the grilled view offers an experience closer to the classic listing.

This menu design attracts attention not only with its structure, but also with its reactions to the screen size. Eight columns fixed applications and four category columns can be seen on large -screen devices. In small -screen devices, these numbers are naturally reduced. Thus, the differences between desktop monitors and hand devices are taken into consideration.

In addition, it becomes possible to completely disable the proposed applications section. With this setting, the larger part of the screen can be divided into applications that are fixed by the user. This change offers a functional advantage, especially for many applications. Users can now reshape the start menu according to their own habits.

Another detail integrated into the new menu was the Phone Link Integration. Thanks to a special button placed on the Start menu, the connected smartphone interface can be expanded and narrowed. This integration provides faster interaction between mobile devices and computer. This feature, which facilitates the transition between desktops and mobile, stands out as a time -saving detail.

In addition, the lock screen has been made more customizable with this update. Users can now decide which widgets will be displayed on the lock screen. These widgets can be added and removed when requested or dragged into different positions. The visual order is provided to control the informative structure.

In addition to all these, a new detail stands out that will delight those who use hand -type game devices. Microsoft added a gamepad keyboard support to the game with game controls. Thus, users will only be able to open their computers with a game arm. This feature becomes even more meaningful in hand devices like Rog Ally.

This new start menu not only offers a visual change, but also brings a structure that directly affects its use habits. Although it has not yet reached a stable version, it is predicted that it will ripen with the feedback to be received during the test process.
