Samsung officially distributed the seventh largest version of the Android -based interface One UI. This update process, which started on April 7, was first opened to access only on certain Galaxy devices. The company’s One UI 7 update after the limited beta tests for months after the release drew attention. However, in this process, the number of devices included in the test was quite low compared to previous years.
The update first started with the Galaxy S24 series, which is located as a flagship. In addition, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 models in the foldable form were among the first devices to meet one UI 7. This shows that Samsung gives priority to the top -level devices in Samsung’s update strategy. But when other models will be lined up, it is not yet clear.
The update processing process is progressing gradually as usual. Samsung has not been able to provide complete simultaneousness to offer One UI 7 at the same time all over the world. To see if your update has reached your device, Settings> Software Update> Download and install your way. If you are on the appropriate model and the ranking has come to you, you can also get an automatic notification.
In spite of everything, if you have a device on the list and still haven’t received the update, this delay should be considered normal. Due to Samsung’s regional presentation strategy, some countries and regions can access update later. In addition to all these, the operator’s approval process can extend this waiting. This process can take even longer, especially on the operator locked devices.
One UI 7 is not only content with bringing a visual innovation
One UI 7 does not only bring a visual innovation. Simplification in the interface, acceleration of transition animations and software arrangements that reduce battery consumption are also remarkable. However, technical improvements and safety patches that increase system stability come with this version. Samsung’s main objective in this version stands out as providing a more fluent user experience.
From the Galaxy S24 series, users say that transitions in the interface are softer and touch reactions are faster. In foldable models, the multiple window experience is a little more optimized. In addition, there are small but effective touches in the camera application. However, it remains unclear whether all these innovations will be reflected in the same way to the middle segment devices.
When we look at the past update calendars, Samsung usually offers update to devices such as Galaxy S23, S22 and Z Fold 5 after the flagship models. In line with this calendar, one UI 7 can be expected to reach these models in the coming weeks. Nevertheless, this process will work from country to country at different times. It may be useful for users to check their devices at regular intervals.
In addition, some users found surprising to arrive so early update to devices that cannot be included in the beta process. Especially for the S24 series, the beta process is kept short. However, Samsung may now prefer to pass the distribution quickly by testing on less devices. This shows that the company has evolved in a different direction in the software distribution strategy.
