In the current layout, WhatsApp keeps Channels in the Updates tab. In future migration, the user may be asked where he/she would like to see these channels. Will the Updates tab be removed?

The Updates tab will lose functionality if two content types are moved here. The company is reportedly planning to replace this area with the Contacts tab.
