Recently, a new Vivo phone bearing the model number V2410A was certified by China’s 3C certification platform. The device, believed to be the Vivo Y300 Pro 5G, was also recently spotted on Geekbench’s database. Finally, Vivo Brand Vice President and General Manager of Brand & Product Strategy Jia Jingdong confirmed the launch date, key specifications, and design of the Y300 Pro. The smartphone will go official on September 5.
According to Jingdong, the Y300 Pro will be the latest addition to the Vivo Y series, which is renowned for its durability, user-friendliness, and popularity that has served over 300 million users worldwide. The device is an example of Vivo’s “decentralization” strategy, where advanced features found in its flagship phones are incorporated into the Y series, making it highly competitive in its category.
But the Y300 Pro goes beyond this approach, adopting a “leapfrogging” strategy that introduces the latest and most powerful features before they make their way into flagship models, providing a significant upgrade in user experience.
The Y300 Pro 5G also features Vivo’s latest display technology, featuring a 6.77-inch micro-quad curved OLED display. The display offers an ultra-bright 5,000 nits of brightness, making it ideal for outdoor use. The display is designed with eye protection in mind, incorporating technologies like blue light filtering and anti-strobe features. It is certified for eye protection by both the National Ophthalmology Engineering Center and SGS. On the durability front, the Vivo Y300 Pro comes with SGS certification for drop resistance, dust resistance, and waterproof features.
One of the key features of the Y300 Pro is its 6500mAh Blue Ocean battery, which offers up to 12.1 hours of play time on a single charge. Despite its massive battery, the phone is also notable for its thickness of just 7.69mm. This battery supports 80W wired charging, as well as wireless charging and reverse charging. Vivo’s innovative Extreme Graphite Technology achieves this high energy efficiency by optimizing the structure of the battery for maximum capacity without increasing its size.
The main camera in the Y300 Pro is a 50-megapixel sensor. On the front, a 32-megapixel camera awaits users. In terms of design and camera capabilities, the Y300 Pro seems to impress those who see it with its flagship design language such as the jade ring lens module and 360-degree sun texture.
Vivo Y300 Pro comes in four different color options
The phone also improves on the popular “career mode”, now in its second generation, designed for professional use by drivers, with features such as enhanced hands-free calls, improved network optimization, and smart assistance during delivery tasks. The Y300 Pro is available in four different color options: Titanium, Gold Inlay Jade, Mutton Fat White, and Black Jade. It is worth noting that the color options are translated from Chinese.
The Geekbench test result showed that the Vivo Y300 Pro will come with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, 12 GB RAM and Android 14. The predecessor of the smartphone, the Y200 Pro, was introduced to users with Snapdragon 695.
