Vivo X200’s design confirmed with official post

Vivo’s product manager Han Boxiao shared the image showing the design of the Vivo X200 model via Weibo before the official announcement. Han also gave important information about the technical features of the phone.

As it is known, the Vivo X200 series consists of several different models: X200, X200 Pro, X200 Pro Mini and X200 Ultra. The company is expected to launch the X200 Ultra model until early 2025.

The standard X200 model comes with a new color scheme and a textured design that creates an “ocean wave” effect on the back. This wave-like pattern looks different ways depending on the viewing angle.

Vivo has previously made a name for itself with its remarkable rear panel designs. For example, the “Color Changing” technology used in the Vivo Y100 model enabled the rear panel of the device to change color when exposed to sunlight or UV light.

Explaining the new design, the company official said, “Sometimes it resembles a stormy ocean, sometimes it shines like a silk shining in the sun, and sometimes it shines like a jewel covered with dew droplets after the rain.”

This innovative design is a rare feature not only for Vivo’s X series devices but also for most flagship phones on the market.

A closer look at the Vivo X200 shows that the device has a flatter design. While its back surface is less rounded, its edges appear to have a flat structure. The previously introduced X200 Pro Mini was equipped with completely flat edges. The basic model has a round camera island and the ZEISS logo stands out in the middle of this island. According to previous rumors, the camera system may include a 50MP main sensor (IMX921, 1/1.56″), a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50MP 70mm (3x) periscope telephoto lens.

Vivo X200 will come with Dimensity 9400 processor

At the heart of Vivo X200 is the Dimensity 9400 processor, and this powerful processor is accompanied by 16 GB of RAM. Additionally, the device comes with a larger 5500 mAh battery compared to the 5000 mAh battery of the Vivo X100.

Vivo is preparing to officially reveal the first members of the X200 series on October 14.
