Vivo introduced Vivo V40 with 80W charging speed: There is no charger in the box

Vivo officially introduced its new smartphone vivo V40. Although this new model has very fast charging support of 80W, it stands out because it does not include a charging adapter in the box. After Apple adopted this policy, Samsung also pioneered and applied this method first in its flagship models and then in the more affordable Galaxy A series.

Chinese manufacturers were initially hesitant to comply with Apple's policy because they are generally leaders in fast charging technology and require specialized chargers for high-speed charging standards. While vivo V40 5G offers 80W fast charging support, it is a bit surprising that there is no charging adapter in the box.

Vivo V40 features

vivo V40 has the same features as vivo S19, which is available for sale in China. Both phones have 80W charging support, but while the charger is included in the box in the Chinese variant, this adapter is not included in the global variant. Additionally, the base model of the global version (8GB+256GB) does not include a case, while the 12GB+512GB model does. The global variant has a 500 mAh lower battery capacity compared to the Chinese version.

Vivo V40 5G comes to the European market with 80W fast charging support, but the charger is not included in the box. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and includes LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. There are two different configuration options: 8GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB.

The 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate offers 1.5K resolution (2800 x 1260). The device will be available in two different color options: Stella Silver and Nebula Purple. The dual camera setup includes a 50MP f/1.9 main camera and a 50MP f/2.0 ultra wide-angle camera.

The device has e-SIM support and uses a charging port that complies with the USB 2.0 standard. According to TheTechOutlook, the base model of the device will be available in Europe for 599 Euros (approximately 14,000 TL). Vivo V40 5G will be released in Europe in July. For detailed information and purchasing options, you can visit Vivo Europe's official website.

Vivo V40 attracts attention with its powerful technical features and fast charging support. However, the fact that the charging adapter is not included in the box may be a disadvantage for users. Although this policy aims to protect the environment and reduce costs, it is a matter of curiosity how users will react to this change. We can expect this model to come to Turkey in the coming weeks.
