Vivo aims to tempt those planning to buy iPhone 16 with X200 series

Jia Jingdong, Vivo’s Vice President and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy, announced on Weibo today that Vivo has been recognized as an “Innovation Star” on the 2024 Kantar BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Chinese Brands List. Vivo stands out as the highest-ranking new brand to enter the list. Kantar BrandZ is a leading global brand valuation ranking that evaluates brand value based on financial data and consumer perceptions. In the same Weibo post by Jingdong, important information about the Vivo X200 series was also included.

According to Jingdong, the X200 series will be one of the most eye-catching flagship devices in the second half of this year. Recently, Vivo has shown strong performance in the high-end 4000-6000 yuan market in China. This success is largely due to the shift of iPhone users to Vivo. It was stated that the X200 series will also have a similar screen design in order to facilitate the transition of users who are accustomed to the flat screen design of the iPhone.

The 200 series will be equipped with advanced technologies such as a customized sensor and imaging chip, a high-capacity battery system, and a high-end chipset powered by Blue Crystal technology. These statements coincide with the leaked specifications of the X200. According to expectations, the device will come with a 6.3-inch flat OLED display, a 50-megapixel 22nm main camera, the Vivo V3+ imaging chip, a 5,600mAh battery, and the Dimensity 9400 SoC chipset.

The X200 series will run on the latest Origin OS 5 operating system, which is expected to be based on Android 15. Jingdong stated that the new Origin OS version includes more efficient local AI processing, enhanced natural interaction experiences, and personalized service recommendations based on intent recognition.

Vivo X200 series to be introduced in the second half of October

According to a recent report, the Vivo X200 series will be officially launched in the third week of October. The series is expected to include X200, X200+, and X200 Pro models, and all the models are said to be powered by the Dimensity 9400 chip.
