Cem Çelebiler, CEO of Turknet, said in a statement at the cooperation meeting that internet access has become more important than ever in the process of fiber transformation. Burchard said that the Foundation aims to develop young people in the fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), and that students have gained competencies such as not only technical skills, but also problem solving, communication and teamwork.
Burchard stressed that Türkiye’s female participation rate reached 47 percent in FRC and that it is above the global average and stressed that this situation plays an important role in reducing the gender difference in STEM field. The FIRST® Robotics Competition Tournament, which will be held in Türkiye in 2025, will be held in the organization of Fikret Yüksel Foundation. In the competition to be held in Istanbul Exhibition Center between 4-9 March and in Ankara on March 14-16, high school students will exhibit their talents in science and engineering.
In the tournament, which will be held with the theme of Reefscape this year, students will develop projects to explore and protect the sea ecosystems. The contestants will try to complete the tasks in the field with their robots in triple alliances and present their sustainable projects to the jury. The event will give young people the opportunity to improve their teamwork, creativity and engineering skills, and contribute to their future careers.
