Türk Telekom’s 5G projects spread to different sectors

In recent years, Türk Telekom has been carrying out projects developing 5G usage scenarios in different sectors. The company has previously conducted remote surgery trials using 5G technology. In addition, smart agricultural applications, smart vehicle tracking in ports and safe transportation solutions are among the tested projects.

In the field of culture and art, digital experiences supported by VR glasses are offered at Atatürk Cultural Center. On the sports side, it was implemented within the scope of Trendyol Super League. 5G Barrier-Free Tribune With this application, visually impaired individuals were able to experience the atmosphere of the tribune simultaneously.

On the other hand, IoT-based solutions are also exhibited at the center. Applications such as image processing technologies, low-level satellite communication systems and predictive maintenance solutions work over 5G infrastructure. These technologies aim to increase operational efficiency, especially in the production, logistics and transportation sectors.

Fiber infrastructure plays a role in Türkiye’s 5G preparation

The spread of strong fiber networks is critical for the establishment of 5G infrastructure in Türkiye. Türk Telekom across the country Fiber infrastructure covering 81 provinces It states that it is one of the operators ready for 5G.

Fiber networks constitute the basic infrastructure that transfers the high data traffic carried by 5G base stations to backbone networks. For this reason, operators are developing both mobile access networks and fiber infrastructure together.

Long story short, Türk Telekom Technology and Innovation Center is positioned as an experience and development platform that shows how 5G technology can be used in different sectors. Through this center, the company offers an environment where both corporate customers and technology developers can test 5G-based solutions through real scenarios.
