Within the scope of the social responsibility project carried out by Türk Telekom and Türk Red Crescent, the 100th anniversary libraries implemented in the earthquake zone continues to support the education processes of the students prepared for the Transition to High Schools (LGS) and Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS). These libraries, which started in Hatay and established in Hatay and established in Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Osmaniye, Malatya and Gaziantep, have been accessed by approximately 80 thousand students so far.
Together with this project, Türk Telekom provided support for fiber internet infrastructure and WiFi access, while digital and printed education resources were delivered to the students through the subsidiary. The content presented in the libraries includes lecture videos, solved questions and materials such as trial exams. In this way, students can be prepared effectively for exams in a safe and equipped environment.
Türk Telekom CEO Ümit Önal stated that they direct their experiences in the field of technology to human -oriented projects and that they aim to contribute to the reduction of inequalities in the field of education. Önal stated that with the personalized working programs of the artificial intelligence supported by Sebit, solutions were produced in accordance with the individual needs of the students and that the students can be prepared more effectively for exams.
Turkish Red Crescent President Dr. Fatma Meriç Yılmaz said in a statement regarding the project and that there are 1.5 million students in the region and that 80 thousand students have benefited from these opportunities. According to Yılmaz, the 100th year libraries offer students the opportunity to stand up again not only academic, but also socially.
On the other hand, the academic achievements in the libraries also draw attention. Some students who have spent the preparation process in the libraries settled in the departments such as medicine, law and dentistry. Within the scope of the project, it is planned to increase the number of libraries to 20 by the end of 2025.
In this context, the digital infrastructure and content services offered by Türk Telekom within the framework of corporate social responsibility understanding and the competence of the Red Crescent and the competence of the Red Crescent continue to provide significant support to the students in the study after the disaster.
