In order to continue its competition in the smartphone market, Oppo plans to introduce the new members of the Reno series, Reno 13 and Reno 13 Pro, on November 25. Recent information shows that both models will be equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300 processor. This information is supported by the appearance of the devices in Geekbench tests.
In the tests performed on the Geekbench 6.2 platform, it is stated that the Reno 13 model is listed with the code name PKM110 and runs on the Android 15 operating system with 12 GB of RAM. Reno 13 Pro, on the other hand, has been tested with the model number PKK110, 16 GB RAM and the Android 15 operating system. Both models are expected to use Oppo’s customized interface ColorOS 15.
MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300 processor aims to offer high performance and energy efficiency for mid-upper segment smartphones. It is thought that Oppo aims to provide a fluent experience to its users by using this processor. However, some sources suggest that Oppo may market this processor as “Dimensity 8350”. Although such name changes are often used as a strategy to differentiate devices, they may not make a significant difference in the actual usage experience.
There is no official statement for other features of the Oppo Reno 13 series
Other technical features of the Reno 13 series have not been officially announced yet. However, the high RAM capacity and Android 15 operating system indicate that the devices will offer strong performance. In addition, the user experience is aimed to be more fluid and customizable with the ColorOS 15 interface.
Pricing and other technical details of the Reno 13 series are expected to be announced at Oppo’s launch on November 25. It is a matter of curiosity how these new models will affect the competition in the mid-segment smartphone market. In particular, the performance and energy efficiency of the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor can play an important role in users’ device preferences.
