The possibility of Xiaomi 17 Ultra being introduced before the end of the year becomes stronger

Xiaomi is preparing to add a new option to its flagship phones with the 17 Ultra. The claims about the device are becoming clearer. Recently, a rumor originating from China suggested that the device would be introduced in December. This information indicates the possibility of an early launch of approximately two months, compared to previous models such as Xiaomi 13 Ultra and 14 Ultra.

A technology leak source known for its reliability in X narrowed this date further and suggested that Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be introduced in the fourth week of December. Looking at the calendars, this date falls between December 22 and December 28. Thus, with the previous rumors, the promotion window of the device has narrowed considerably.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra could be released to the world in early 2026

It is noteworthy that many Chinese manufacturers introduced their flagship models earlier in 2025 compared to previous years. Xiaomi followed this trend and introduced the 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models earlier in the year. This strengthens the possibility that Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be introduced before the end of the year.

However, it remains unclear whether the device will be limited to a promotion only for the Chinese market or when it will be offered to global markets. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra model was introduced to the international market at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona in February. This launch took place just a few days after the China launch. However, a similar rapid global launch process may not be available for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

In addition to all this, there is no clear information yet about what technical features Xiaomi will include in the new generation Ultra model. However, as in previous models, high-end camera systems, advanced display technologies and high-performance chipsets are expected to be included in this model as well. The possibility of using Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset in this device can create a significant leap in terms of performance.

There is no official statement regarding the global launch date. Considering Xiaomi’s past launch schedules, there is a possibility that the international launch will be delayed until February 2026. However, this may vary depending on the brand’s marketing strategies and production plans. Details will continue to become clear as official information comes from Xiaomi.
