MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, which has been on the agenda for a while, finally gained the date of official publicity. This new chip will be officially announced at the Dimensity Developer Conference on April 11 in Shenzhen, China. Thus, all the technical details of this processor, which has been on the agenda with leaks for a long time, will be official for the first time.
Dimensity 9400+ maintains the same architecture as its predecessor Dimensity 9400, but the increments at the time speeds are remarkable. The Cortex-X925 core, which provides the highest performance, now works at a frequency of 3.7GHz instead of 3.62 GHz. In addition, three Cortex-X4 seeds will work at 3.30 GHz and four Cortex-A720 core will work at 2.4 GHz frequency. On the graphic side, Immortalis-G925 MP12 once again appears.
All these hardware innovations clearly show itself in performance tests. Geekbench test results show that the Single Core Performance increased by 6 percent and a 5 percent increase in multiple cores compared to the predecessor of Dimensity 9400+. According to these results, the processor has achieved 2,770 and 8,500 points, respectively. Compared to the average scores of the standard 9400, 2,605 and 8,078, this difference is important.
In addition to the performance increase, the processor is estimated to offer significant improvements in energy efficiency. Although it works at higher clock speeds, balanced power consumption is aimed at consumption. In this way, a structure that will not adversely affect the user experience in terms of heat management and battery performance is put forward. This balance will show itself, especially in games that use intense graphics and in heavy tasks such as video processing.
MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ Which brands will be used?
MediaTek’s new processor has already entered the radar of many smartphone manufacturers. According to leaked information, manufacturers such as Oppo, Vivo, IQOO, Realme, OnePlus and Redmi are preparing models using 9400+. Especially models such as Oppo Find X8s and X8s+, Vivo X200s are expected to be introduced in the Chinese market in April. These devices can be on stage as models where 9400+is used for the first time.
Looking at this list, IQOO Neo 10s Pro will introduce their devices in May, while brands such as Realme and OnePlus will introduce their devices in the first half of the year. On the Redmi front, the K80 ultra model is highly likely to come with this processor. These developments show that 9400+is in a remarkable position not only technically, but also in terms of manufacturer’s interest.
The common point of all these models is that they target users who want upper segment performance. From this point of view, it can be understood that MediaTek aims to get angry with this processor in the Android ecosystem. In the face of powercomm’s powerful alternatives such as Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Dimensity 9400+will be more clearly seen after it is released.
On the other hand, it is stated that Xiaomi is also directed to this new processor. The Xiaomi 15T Pro is expected to include the Dimensity series like 14T Pro last year. It will not be surprising that 9400+is preferred on the device, which is expected to be introduced this year. This model, which is likely to be introduced in the global market after a few months, can also increase the international impact of the processor.
