Samsung overtook the Galaxy S22 series with the Galaxy S23 series. A similar situation seems to have been repeated in the S24 series. According to data from Counterpoint Research, sales of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series have surpassed the initial performance of the S23 series.

It is stated that the Galaxy S24 series continued its strong momentum, which started during the pre-order period, with the start of sales. Accordingly, it is said that Samsung has reduced the 12 million shipment target it set for the first quarter of 2024 to 13 million.

Counterpoint Research’s research examines sales between January 28 and February 17 of 2023 and 2024. Looking at the numbers, it can be seen that S24 sales are 8 percent more than S23 sales. Although this rate is not very high, it is noted that there is a significant increase in some regions.

Samsung Galaxy S24 series was met with greater interest than the S23 in Western Europe

It is stated that sales in Western Europe increased by 28 percent during the pre-order period. While the sales increase rate in Samsung’s home country, South Korea, is 22 percent, the increase rate in the USA is 14 percent.

The sales of the Galaxy S23 series were led by the S23 Ultra with a market share of 60 percent. The other two S23 models had a share of 20 percent. There is a different breakdown in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. While S24 Ultra’s share in total sales was 52 percent, S24’s share was 27 percent. S24+, on the other hand, was able to get a 21 percent share of sales.
