The first information about the new devices, which are the continuation of the Win and Win RT models that Honor announced in December last year, has emerged. A new leak originating from China shows that the Honor Win 2 series may come with remarkable updates on the screen, processor and battery. In particular, the high refresh rate screen and large battery of Honor Win 2, which is expected to be the top model of the series, stand out. In addition, it is stated that there may be more than one model with different processor options in the series.
According to the leak, the Honor Win 2 model will come with a 6.89-inch screen. It is stated that this panel will offer “2K+” resolution and support 185 Hz refresh rate. While it is estimated that the panel technology will be LTPS, these values show that the device can focus especially on gaming and multimedia use. This refresh rate, which is well above the 120 Hz level commonly seen in high-end phones today, means an assertive approach to screen fluency. However, it is not yet known how to optimize energy consumption.
It is said that the device will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 platform, which has not been announced yet, on the processor side. However, there is no clear information about whether this chip will be the standard version or the Pro variant. Qualcomm is expected to introduce its new generation flagship processor in September. For this reason, it is estimated that the official announcement of the Honor Win 2 family may be delayed until the last quarter of the year.
The large battery capacity of the Honor Win 2 series draws attention
One of the most striking details among the shared information was the battery capacity. It is stated that Honor Win 2 will come with a battery with a capacity of at least 10,000 mAh. Lately, it has been seen that high-capacity silicon-carbon batteries have become widespread, especially in phones that are game-oriented and emphasize durability. It is thought that Honor aims to emphasize usage time by adopting a similar approach. In addition, it is stated that improvements can be made in the camera system of the device compared to its predecessor. However, concrete information about the sensor details or camera setup has not been shared yet.
On the Honor Win 2 RT side, which is expected to be another model of the series, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor stands out. Thus, it appears that Honor may offer different options according to performance levels in the new series. In addition, the possibility of a third model is also mentioned. Allegedly, this version can carry a “1.5K” resolution and high refresh rate screen with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This configuration could enable the series to appeal to a wider price range.
For now, no official statement has been made by Honor. Despite this, the emerging information shows that the company plans to take the Win series to a more assertive point in terms of performance and battery capacity. It is expected that details such as camera, design and fast charging features will become clear with new leaks in the coming months.
