A serious leak has emerged regarding the launch date of Samsung’s new generation Galaxy S25 series. According to information from reliable sources, Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra models will be available to users on January 22, 2025. However, it is not yet clear whether this date is just the date of the Unpacked event or the official start of sales of the devices. Considering that the Galaxy S24 series was introduced on January 17 last year and sales started on January 31, a similar schedule seems likely to be implemented.
The new series will come with three models that are expected to bring together Samsung’s most advanced features. It is stated that these models will feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The same processor was also used in the OnePlus 13 model, which was introduced recently and will be released next month. Therefore, in terms of performance, the Galaxy S25 models are likely to offer a very powerful experience.
Advanced camera and screen with Galaxy S25 Ultra
Galaxy S25 Ultra stands out as the most striking model of the series. It is stated that this device will have a 6.8 inch high resolution screen. Although it is similar in size to its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, it is expected to offer improvements in terms of screen brightness and color accuracy. However, the changes to be made in the camera system also attract attention. It is said that Samsung will keep the 200-megapixel main camera, but will replace the 10MP telephoto camera with a 50MP lens that offers 3x optical zoom.
Additionally, there is also the inclusion of a 50MP ultra wide-angle camera in the series. These innovations can take the photo and video shooting performance of the Galaxy S25 Ultra to the next level. It is stated that with the design changes to be made in the rear camera module, a view with a black frame and concentric rings as seen in the Galaxy Z Fold 6 model will be preferred.
In addition to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, other models of the series offer solutions suitable for different needs. While the S25 comes with a 6.17-inch compact screen, the S25 Plus aims to offer both a widescreen experience and portability together with its 6.7-inch screen. Especially at a time when the demand for small-screen phones is increasing, the compact design of the Galaxy S25 can be an important option.
New software and interface features
Samsung will also offer the Android 15-based One UI 7 interface to users with its new flagship phone series. This software promises a smoother usage experience compared to previous versions. Additionally, new artificial intelligence-supported features are expected to be integrated into the interface. In particular, battery life optimization and improvements in camera software can be among the notable innovations of this interface.
The software advantages of this series, as well as its hardware innovations, can increase Samsung’s competitiveness. The advanced security features and new generation application supports offered by Android 15 seem to make a positive contribution to the user experience. It is also possible that One UI 7 will become more functional with some features specific to the S25 models.
After the Galaxy S25 series is introduced on January 22, 2025, sales are expected to start in a few weeks. This means that users will be able to experience the devices as of February. Although the pricing of Samsung’s new generation devices is not yet clear, it is estimated that especially the Ultra model will be in the upper segment.
