The design of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has been revealed

While Samsung is expected to introduce its foldable phones at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July, leaks about the products that the company will announce in the next period continue to come. Finally, new CAD-based images, which are said to belong to the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra tablet, have leaked to the internet. The shared information shows that Samsung will not make any major design changes in its upper segment Android tablet, but will instead offer updates on the hardware side.

OnLeaks shared the CAD-based images it prepared with Smartphone Checker. Since such images are generally based on technical drawings during the production phase, although they largely reflect the final product, they do not constitute official verification. Despite this, it is known that many images shared by OnLeaks in the past largely overlap with the products released on the market. For this reason, the details revealed about the new Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra are also noteworthy.

According to the shared information, the body dimensions of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will be approximately 326.34 x 208.46 x 5.12 mm. These values are almost at the same level as its predecessor. There is no significant change in the back design of the tablet, which remains thin. It appears that Samsung has chosen to maintain its current Ultra tablet design line.

Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is updated on the processor side while maintaining its design

On the front side, a detail that contradicts previous claims attracts attention. It was previously claimed that the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra would switch to a perforated camera design on its screen. However, new CAD images show that the semicircular screen notch, also used in the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, will be preserved. If this information turns out to be true, Samsung will continue to use the dual front camera system with the current layout.

The most striking innovation on the hardware side is the processor. According to the leak, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will be powered by MediaTek’s new generation Dimensity 9500 platform. Considering that Samsung preferred MediaTek processors in the last generation Galaxy Tab S11 series, it does not seem surprising that the company continues this approach. Dimensity 9500 is expected to deliver significant improvements over the previous generation in advanced AI workloads, higher graphics performance and energy efficiency.

In addition, no change is foreseen in the battery capacity. According to the information in the leak, the tablet will have a battery with a capacity of 11,600 mAh, the same as its predecessor. While long usage time continues to be an important criterion in large-screen tablets, it is considered that Samsung is focusing on the efficiency gains that the new processor will provide rather than increasing the battery capacity. For now, no new information has been shared about fast charging support or charging speed.

The design of Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has been revealed

Some technical details about the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, such as screen technology, camera system, memory options and storage capacity, have not yet been finalized. However, there are claims that the tablet may be introduced in September. It is expected that the remaining technical features of the device will become clear with new leaks in the coming weeks. Current information indicates that Samsung is preparing a processor and performance-oriented update for this model instead of a radical design change.
